Overview of role:

This position is responsible for managing group bookings and passenger revenue/accounting for group guests.

Key generic and specific responsibilities:

  • Process Group Request forms from Sales by creating Group Master in Res System and emailing Group Confirmations.
  • Service incoming calls and emails from travel agents with special group programs & promotions.
  • Review group correspondence and payments to ensure proper crediting, note any pertinent information in the group master. Move money from group master to bookings, as needed.
  • Adjust bookings with group amenities, group commissions and earned tour escort berths, review with travel agent.
  • Review group balance due report, contact travel agents for payments due, follow up as needed.
  • Send Group Invoices showing payments due.
  • Contact travel agents regarding declined credit cards for group bookings.
  • Process refunds. Review penalties and refund with travel agent.
  • Complete Group Voyage Closings procedures for assigned ships.
  • Responsible for incoming and outgoing communications via telephone, email and fax for groups.
  • Liaison with Consortium headquarters as needed for Consortium groups.
  • Assist the Group Coordinator manage incentive groups and charters; i.e. bookings, changes, liaison with documentation, special requests, etc.
  • Work with Documentation Department on all large groups and charters.
  • Send Fare Increase emails to applicable groups. Update fares on new bookings during the price protection period.
  • Contact travel agents holding a group when voyage is chartered or has an itinerary change.
  • Handle group reviews; contact agents to review group allocations at designated group review dates.
  • Work closely with ASD and AE, servicing their calls and emails related to groups.
  • Work closely with Special Services team regarding special requests and shipboard credits for groups.
  • Work closely with Inventory Dept on suite inventory related issues; i.e. waitlists, GTY, groups, promoting segments, etc.
  • Review weekly overpayment report on Tuesday, process commission due for voyages within two weeks of sailing.
  • Notify Manager of payment difficulties with travel agents.
  • Call options due to expire. Ensure expired options are managed in a timely manner.
  • Assist Group Coordinator update bookings with group concessions, review with travel agent, as needed.
  • Maintain accurate filing system.
  • Service incoming reservation calls, as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job requirement and/or qualification expected:

  • High school diploma
  • 1-2 years’ related experience, preferably in cruise line Reservation or Group sales

Measure of performance:

  • Must be a self-starter
  • Ability to work well with figures
  • Detail oriented with good organizational skills

Hotel Concierge (ref : FLO468)

Overview of role:

This position is responsible for providing prompt. courteous and knowledgeable service to interval and external customers related to all inquires for non-standard Hotel, land and transfer services ( but not limited to) additional night extensions, upgrades, deviations and customized arrangements .

Key generic and specific responsibilities:

  • Monitor e-mail & phone daily to answer hotel, land & transfer requests in a timely manner
  • Ensure accurate pricing for hotel, land and transfer programs & charge additional fees as required
  • Maintain knowledge of hotel contract fares, transfer costs and schedules and itinerary changes
  • Provide courteous, professional & prompt response to internal/external customers and vendors
  • Provide best possible customer service all while maintaining the integrity of the company and our vendors
  • Monitor daily Hotel Change Report to identify new and/or urgent bookings and take appropriate action
  • Accurately build and maintain assigned Hotel, Land and Transfer items in reservations system
  • Proactively monitor hotel inventory to determine timely action regarding increasing/decreasing capacity.
  • Conduct periodic hotel inventory reviews and provide guest count to ground operators / hotels.
  • Accurately communicate guest names and pertinent travel information to ground operators / hotels as required
  • Insure that ground operators have ample supply of Silversea logo items (scarves, neckties, bus signs, etc)
  • Maintain files by voyage in standardized fashion to ensure efficient access by all members of the department
  • Other duties as instructed by Management
  • Ability to work weekends and/or early a.m. shifts as needed

Job requirement and/or qualification expected:

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional experience for Cruise Line industry and or Hotel Experience / Tour Operators / Travel Agencies.

Years of experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of Cruise Industry Experience

Work in a typical office environment with moderate noise generated by telephone conversations, computer, printer, copier and lights traffic.

Overview of role:

Sell Silversea cruises and optional products related to the cruise. Assist callers with various inquiries while providing professional and courteous service.

Key generic and specific responsibilities:

  • Sell cruises to various destinations along with optional programs such as air, land, hotel, insurance, etc.
  • Utilize sales skills to close cruise bookings as well as optional programs.
  • Service incoming phone calls in a professional, courteous and efficient manner that aligns with the principles of our luxury brand.
  • Consistently demonstrate a friendly, patient and positive attitude utilizing proper phone etiquette and dynamic vocal personality.
  • Provide valuable information and make appropriate suggestions to callers regarding Silversea ships, destinations, itineraries, programs and policies.
  • Communicate cruise related requests to the appropriate department (i.e. Silver Sky, Hotel Department, Res Help Desk, Special Services, and Documentation).
  • Review and distribute incoming department emails and faxes to the appropriate administrative area.
  • Participate in occasional outbound calling projects to request follow-up guest information, advise of schedule changes, canceled shore excursions, hotel and land, or provide other services for booked guests, as assigned by Reservation Supervisor and Lead Agents.
  • Assist Administrative Departments with various projects.
  • Assist with proofing of atlas and itineraries.
  • Research and respond to travel agent requests by phone or email.
  • Assist with Latin America mailbox as assigned by Reservation Supervisor.
  • Assist callers in problem solving for minor issues pertaining to new and existing bookings, interacting with other departments and resources as needed to ensure their satisfaction.
  • Assist callers with questions related to My Silversea and website while helping resolve any issues.
  • Adhere to assigned schedule.
  • Other business-related duties as instructed by the Reservation Supervisor.

Job requirement and/or qualification expected:

Education:

  • High school diploma

Years of experience:

  • 1-2 years of cruise reservations or travel sales experience preferred; will consider candidates with significant backgrounds in premium brand, sales and service organizations. Call center and reservations systems experience are a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Solid computer and telephone skills, including self-sufficient problem solving capabilities utilizing all available resources

Revenue Manager

The Revenue Manager supports the commercial organization by creating, reviewing and adapting the pricing and inventory strategy in order to maximize the net ticketing revenue for a group of cruise programs(“offering the right product to the right customer at the right time for the right price”).

  • Interprets historical and current data and trends to identify revenue opportunities
  • Constantly monitors cruises performance and prioritizes pricing actions
  • Sets strategic direction, determines pricing, creates promotions, and explores new distribution opportunities in order to maximize revenue;
  • Balances risk vs. returns on investment of conflicting alternatives, i.e. incorporates dilution risk vs. market potential;
  • Understands customers' perception of product value and accurately aligns products price and availability with each customer segment;
  • Utilizes knowledge of competitive positioning with other luxury cruise lines and the entire leisure market;
  • Defines reference price for groups' requests
  • Approves exceptions to reference groups’ prices provided
  • Provides ad hoc quotation for charter
  • Assess current and future business performance to develop monthly net ticket revenue forecast;
  • Liaises with Corporate On Board Revenue department in order to develop joint activities
  • Support the Commercial organization in the effective implementation and monitoring of local commissioning schemes"

Job requirement and/or qualification expected:

  • Master in mathematics or business administration
  • Previous experience of 4-5 in Revenue Management is essential in Cruise Industry and/or airline

D&E Crew Assistant

To support the Crew Manager, to ensure the smooth crewing operations.

The main duties will be:

To assist the Crew Manager as directed and including the following:

  • Communication of crew changes to vessels, recruiting agents and port agents.

  • Assisting in planning the appointment of personnel with her control in accordance with VMS, agreed terms & conditions of employment and specified experience / qualification requirements
  • Maintaining the Crew Rotation plan for assigned positions, as agreed with the Crew Manager
  • Ensuring all mobilised Seafarers meet SMS recruitment and mobilisation criteria.
  • Planning crew changes in advance to meet operational and budgetary requirements (assigned positions) as well as liaise with the hotel department to minimize the crew changes per vessel.
  • Ensuring that pre-joining briefing is effectively performed
  • Assisting in preparation of reports as required
  • Supporting the welfare of crew and their families as required.

Port Costs Control Analyst

Overview of role:

The Port Costs Control Analyst is a key member of the operations team supporting data management, client reporting, trade processes, and problem resolution. This person will work closely with the Director Port Operation and the operations team to ensure integrity of the data systems. This position requires strong computer skills, attention to detail, positive professional attitude, and ability to work in a team environment.

Key generic and specific responsibilities:

The Port Costs Control Analyst can expect to focus their work in the following areas:

  • Maintain portfolio of Port agents (Via MXP) and interface with all areas of the Group.
  • Communicate with Agents and vessels teams for operation matters
  • Identify workflow/system improvements and work with supervisor and operations team to enact change.
  • Check invoices against supplier/vendors/Port agents, contracts to ensure that they are paid per official and contracted tariff.
  • Posting of invoices on time and regular review of unpaid invoices.
  • Timely and accurate creation of PP’s payments, Ensure prepayments are on time ; perform adequate verification to avoid unjustified payments.
  • Liaise with vendors on costs incurred and negotiate further, if need it
  • Adhere to month-end deadline by making sure all PSSF/Accruals are done in the system.
  • Pull monthly reports of cost component for review.
  • Prepare monthly Cost report verses Budget, Forecast, Accruals reports and identify variances
  • Check for potential cost saving areas, processes and procedures to-be- implemented, ensure savings and reported as they are achieved.
  • Ability to think “out of the box”.

AEM Front End Developer

The AEM Front end Developer role is based within Silversea Cruises in Monaco which is currently undergoing a huge transformation, upgrading all core digital technologies that transform the way traditional systems design, develop, deploy, and manage the applications created.

Key generic and specific responsibilities:

This role will play a key part in designing and maintaining to the highest level of performance Silversea’s current and future digital platforms, eg.: CMS, Mobile apps, etc.

We are looking for a Front-End Web Developer who is motivated to combine the art of design with the art of programming. Responsibilities will include translation of the UI/UX design wireframes to actual code that will produce visual elements of the application. Creation of UI / UX proposal is a plus.

The successful Front End Developer will have experience across both UI/UX integration and design creation, you must be able to demonstrate high-level technical competency in front end and will be responsible for establishing best practices.

Job requirement and/or qualification expected:

Education: Bachelor / Master / Engineer in Computer & Information Systems.

Experience: 3-5 years minimum in on a similar position.

The experience and skills we’re looking for in you:

  • Strong skills in HTML 5 / CSS 3 / JS (Jquery) : Mandatory
  • Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS
